Our moment right now feels heavy and ever-changing like never before – we are living through an extraordinary piece of history. With a nod to the beloved Buddhist teacher, author and nun, Pema Chödrön, we are reminded that the tools we need the most right now are already within us. As she has wisely said: ‘You are the sky. Everything else – it’s just the weather.’
The COVID-19 pandemic has made mindfulness, stress reduction and simple self-care more important than ever.
Join this online writing course for perspective — from your own journal — and a reminder of all the tools you already have inside you to weather this moment. Explore four facilitated writing activities in the privacy of your own journal as you create space for yourself to reflect on your own pandemic experience, and find the strength from within to take hopeful steps towards the future.
Whether you are brand new to journal writing, or you have been writing your whole life, you are sure to find a bit of respite from the storm we are in right now. Reflect on the challenges – as well your own personal well of resources that will fortify you no matter how much things shift and change. Surprise yourself with the composure you create for yourself, and the amazing resources you have inside for now and the future.
